CHRISTA-III

Development of a methodology for the systematic derivation of expected and deviating developments in crystalline rock in Germany and exemplary application as a basis for assessing safe containment considering optimization measures

The safety assessments, as required by regulations, are to be based on expected and deviating repository developments. An essential goal of this project is therefore the development of a methodology for the systematic derivation of these repository developments, as well as a test application using a generic crystalline site as an example. In close connection with the repository developments, optimization possibilities for the repository system are derived, as well as options for strengthening the robustness of the system. Further developments of concepts for integrity analysis of crystalline rocks, including an analysis of associated uncertainties, complete the project.
